From an email from June Byrne DNA Adoption closed board.
Love DNAAdoption.  As I have mentioned weither your are adopted or not their website and experts are great.

“If you take a two day vaction everything on these DNA companies can change.  So this is the latest I know.  I don’t know about LivingDNA. I think they are still accepting everything but not charging. But this is basically for the future.  It is not very useful now.

  • 23andme can only transfer to MyHeritage and Genesis.
  • FTDNA is said to not be able to transfer to MHeritage, but Genesis is OK.
  • MyHeritage can transfer to FTDNA and Genesis.
  • Ancestry process prior to Dec 2018 can transfer to MyHeritage but not to FTDNA. It can also go to Genesis.
  • Older Ancestry trest can transfer to MyHeritage and FTDNA and Genesis.
  • We are also told that if you test at MyHeritage, you also have to pay the $39 to see your full results in addition to the purchase price of the kit. .  Or you can buy a full MYHeritage membership. I hoping that this is not true.
  • PS.  23andme has updated its ethnicity information. When you get on the site, choose the Ancestry on the top menu. Then scroll down to where you can check your ethnicity. The new one appears to be better than that of Ancestry. They are using a compination of self reported ethnicity and other sources. I like that they are honest.  I like it.
  • You can now transfer Ancestry to FTDNA.
A month ago you could not.  Feb 13, 12:07 pm
There will probably be another change shortly but this is as tonight.”
